City Council Established

o The Njinikom municipality evolved from the 1940s, initially part of the Tikari Group. It later became the Wum Divisional Council in 1948, and then the Kom Clan Council in 1950. Over time, it went through several administrative changes and eventually became the Njinikom Council in 1996.

Inclusion

Njinikom has had two mayors since its creation: Mr. Wainbah Donatus, who resigned before completing his term, and Mr. Ngong David Chiatoh, who succeeded him in 2000.
